Asteroids online, with other pilots
If you grew up on Asteroids, PewPewPew will feel familiar from the first second. You turn, thrust and drift through space that wraps around, and big rocks split into smaller ones when you shoot them. The difference: the other ships are pilots out to shoot you, and you can play it free in your browser right now.
In your browser, on phone or computer. No download, no account.
Play free nowWhat feels like Asteroids
- Turn-and-thrust flight with no drag: your ship keeps drifting until you push the other way.
- Space wraps around. Leave one edge and you come back on the other side.
- Rocks come in three sizes. Shoot a big one and it splits in two, those split again, and the smallest ones break away.
- Flying into a rock hurts, so you thread your way through the field.
What is new
- Other ships. Every room is a live dogfight with other pilots, and bots when few people are flying.
- A life bar instead of one-hit deaths. A rock takes a big bite, a bolt a smaller one, and your life grows back over time.
- Power-ups. The smallest rocks can drop Double Shot, Health or Shield. See power-ups and cannons.
- A score of kills minus deaths, kill streaks and badges. See how to play.
- It runs in any modern browser, on phone and computer, with no download and no account.
Set up a rock-heavy room
Want more rocks and fewer ships? Press Play with friends and make a room of your own: set Asteroids to Lots, Bots to Off, Max pilots to 2 and Power-ups to Rare, then send the link to one friend for a duel in a crowded field. Every rule is on the play with friends page.
Controls
Arrow keys or WASD to fly, Space to fire, E, Ctrl or Shift to use a power-up. On a phone, the stick on the left and the FIRE and USE buttons on the right.
