Play free nowMake a room in three steps
- On the join card, press Play with friends.
- Pick the rules for your room (below), then press Create room.
- Send the invite. The invite sheet can share the link to your apps, copy it, or show a QR code for a friend in the same room as you. Friends who open the link see "Join your friend's game" and land in your match.
While you are the only person in the room and the invite sheet is open, the match waits for your friends. The room keeps its rules, so the same link brings everyone back to the same game.
Room rules
| Rule | Choices | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bots | Off, or 1 to 32 (8 to start) | Computer pilots with a robot mark, so a small group still has a full fight. |
| As pilots join | Bots leave or Bots stay | Bots leave: each friend who joins takes a bot's seat. Bots stay: the bots fly on top of the people. |
| Asteroids | Off, Few, Normal, Lots | How many rocks float through the arena. Rocks are cover and drop power-ups. |
| Power-ups | Off, Rare, Normal, Lots | How often power-ups drop. |
| Power-up drift | 97%, 98.5%, 99.3% | How far a dropped power-up glides before it stops: higher glides further. |
| Start cannon | Single, Double, Triple | The cannon every ship starts each life with. |
| Max pilots | 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 or 32 | How many people can be in the room. Bots that stay do not count. |
| Round length | Endless, 3, 5 or 10 minutes | Play rounds against the clock, or never stop. |
| Kills to win | No limit, 10, 25 or 50 | The first pilot to reach it wins the round. |
| Who can join | Link only or Public | Link only keeps the room to people with the link. Public lets other players find it too. |
Rounds
- With a round length or kills to win, the room plays rounds. A round ends when someone reaches the kills to win, or when the clock runs out.
- Against the clock the best score wins; with a kill limit the most kills win. A tie at the top is a draw.
- The results show the winner and everyone's kills, deaths, score, accuracy, damage and best streak. A short break later, scores go back to zero and the next round starts in the same room.
Ideas for a game night
- Triple trouble: start cannon Triple, power-ups Lots, kills to win 10. Short and loud.
- Open space: asteroids Off, so there is nowhere to hide.
- Bot hunt: a few friends against a room full of bots, set to Bots stay.
- Duel: max pilots 2, bots Off, a 3 minute round.
